Indian Restaurant Near Coburg
Brunswick is closer than you think
If you’re in Coburg and feel like Indian food, a few drinks and somewhere relaxed for dinner, Eat Drink Bhang is just down the road in Brunswick.
From Coburg, the trip is around 2–2.3 km, with the drive taking about 7 minutes depending on traffic and where you start. Cycling can take around 6 minutes, while public transport is roughly 9 minutes.
You’ll find us at 1/2A Mitchell Street, Brunswick, just off Sydney Road, inside a converted warehouse.
Come over for a quick midweek dinner, meet friends for cocktails or bring a few people and stay for the evening.
Start With a Few Things for the Table
You don’t need to work out the whole order before you arrive.
Start with something small like Pani Puri, Crispy Spinach, Bhang Samosas, Kerala Fried Chicken, or Nepalese Momos.
Then add a curry.
There’s Butter Chicken if you want something familiar, or regional dishes like Kori Gassi, Rajasthani Goat and Prawn Moilee if you feel like trying something different.
Add rice and naan and let the table take it from there.
Vegetarian diners have plenty of proper options too, including Bharli Vanghi, Gobi Korma, Butter Paneer Masala and Charred Broccolini.
If you have allergies or specific dietary requirements, let the team know when ordering so we can help you choose.
Want a Bit of Everything?
The Bhang Thali is a good option when choosing one dish feels a little limiting.
It brings together a weekly rotating curry, momo, samosa, veg curry, daal, raita, gulab jamun, rice, pappadum and naan on one plate.
It gives you a mix of different flavours and textures without having to order half the menu.
Prefer choosing your own dishes instead? That works too.
Drinks That Actually Belong With Dinner
The bar has always been part of Eat Drink Bhang.
Ingredients like curry leaf, chilli, mango, coconut, chai, ginger and cardamom show up across the cocktail list, so the drinks sit naturally alongside the food.
You might start with a Curry Leaf Margarita, Kheera Masala, Karnataka Tiger or Queen of Kerala.
There are also zero-proof cocktails, wine, beer and whisky.
Have a drink while you decide on dinner, keep one going with your meal or stay for another afterwards.

A Brunswick Restaurant With a Bit of History
Eat Drink Bhang has been in Brunswick since 2017, but Sway’s connection to the area goes back much further.
She has spent more than 30 years in hospitality and is still regularly on the floor, talking to guests and keeping an eye on things.
The restaurant itself sits inside a converted warehouse that Sway and Dougal worked on when Eat Drink Bhang was created.
It’s relaxed, a little tucked away from Sydney Road and still has plenty of the character they built into it from the beginning.
